Dancing Girl is a bronze statuette dating around 2500 BC, from the Mohenjo-daro site of Indus Valley Civilization. ==Description== A bronze statuette, the ''Dancing Girl'' is high 〔 and some 4,500 years old and was found in the 'HR area' of Mohenjo-daro in 1926〔 by Mackey. Although it is in standing position, it is called as "Dancing Girl" with an assumption of her profession.〔 This is one of the two bronze art works found in Mohenjo-daro which is more flexible features when compared to other statuette which is in stiffer position. The girl is naked, wears number of bangles and a necklace and is shown in a natural standing position with one hand on her hip.〔 She wears 24 to 25 bangles on her left arm and 4 bangles on her right arm and some object was held in her left hand which is resting on her thigh and both arms are unusually long. An earthen portshred excavated at Karachi, Sindh has an engraving which resembles the posture of "dancing girl" and this potshred was discovered in 2004-05 by Archaeological Survey of Pakistan.
